Well I was looking on net mums the other day at the blog section and I came across the section about setting up a blog. One suggestion was to blog for your local area! At first I thought, what would I write about as I don't want it personal. I know 'Love Being Mummy To Two' is personal but people around me haven't heard of a blog never mind found my blog! Then I had a Ta Da Idea, I would love a little blog with pages that I could read about topics i'm interested in like Baby and Toddler Groups, Craft Ideas, cooking Ideas, Events in the Area at more. So a few nights ago I started designing my blog! It went live today and I have had lots of interest already. Its made me feel very happy and excited about it as I have mums say 'Great Idea' and 'We really need a blog like yours, Thank You'

When your heating doesn't work it makes you appreciate it even more when it does!!
I have a routine on the most part with heating, its on for a few hours in the morning and a few hours in the evening! So about 4 oclock on friday to my horror the heating wasn't coming on. At first I thought must be my imagination but no.... the bloody oil had ran out.... 2nd though ... bloody Philip!!! So on the phone I go, ' do you realise the heating isn't coming on, do you think the oil has run out' Phil replies ' Oh bloody hell I will sort it out asap!! But it was a friday night about 5, impossible! He was just trying to make me feel better or stop me from telling him off, one of the two!!!
As it happens we didn't get any oil and furthermore Phil helped out at his friends pub straight after his day job, so off to work I went making sure the children would be warm enough. I added a extra sheet on Annabelle's bed (just like my grandma does everyday still) we just have a duvet and its done. Also added about 3 blankets and 2 hot water bottles, one was Callums but he doesn't have one yet, so she had one for her to cuddle and one for her toes!! Callum had his sleeping bag, a duvet and a few blankets! I also put the electric blanket on my bed with the added blanket on top of the duvet. So at least we were all cosy! I blasted their rooms with a fan heater before they went to sleep which helped.
Annabelle slept a dream, Callum on the other hand was up 12am- 2 am so as you can imagine I was not a happy mummy as I was freezing!!! All I could think off was heat so at 2 am I was on the internet searching out local oil companies.
Thankfully I found out we could pick up some small barrels to get us by until pay day as who really has £300 to buy 500lts of Oil, not us for certain! Well unless we had no food for a month and a half!! Thank goodness for budget schemes hey!
So i am now all cosy on the sofa very thankful of heat and very wary of the oil going down!!

Organic Savouries Veg & Oat Bars in Tomato and Carrot Review
Organix have lauched a new product to their range...
Organic Savouries Veg & Oat Bars in Tomato and Carrot!
I was asked to review this product which states its 'No Junk Promise' and full of goodness which is aimed for toddlers.
I love my children to eat healthy food and its great when they think its a fun snack. My children are both huge fans of fresh fruit and my daughter loves eating baby tomatoes. However they are not keen on their other vegetables, they take after their dad!! I am a big believer in introducing a variety of foods early on as the food is normal to them rather than different. I remember eating a curry for the first time about 15 years old and to be honest it took me a while to get used to them. When I started working in a nursery children were eating chicken korma and enjoying it. Brilliant!!
Anyway back to the review....
This savoury snack contains a blend of organic wholegrain oat, barley malt extract, carrot juice and dried tomato, it looks like a red coloured flapjack. The packaging went down a treat with Annabelle, she wanted me to open the packet as soon as she saw it. I offered her one, unfortunately she took one bite and said she didn't like it. Now she is going through the terrible twos and has become an extremely fussy eater at times, you know, when it suits!!! Callum on the other hand wasn't interested in the packaging but as soon as he saw the snack unwrapped his hands were out and he gobbled it all up!! He is 1 years old so I think its a great time to introduce this product, my daughter is almost 3 and is past that stage in my opinion. Its a great product to pop in your nappy bag for those spontaneous moments or a snack on the go.
The Savoury snack retails at £2.49 but as a savvy mummy we know supermarkets surprise us with great offers!!

Five ways to treat your Mum this Mother's Day
If you know you’ve been guilty of leaving Mother’s Day plans a little late in the past, why not make this year special for her with our list of five things you can do to treat your mum this year .
Make sure she’s the picture of happiness
Say cheese! Mothers love family pictures – it’s a fact. So why not make her day with a family photo shoot? Not only will it offer the ideal excuse to get everybody together, but it’ll be something that she can treasure forever. Each studio is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and the photographers are extremely welcoming. But it doesn’t stop there because she’ll also receive a complimentary 10”x8” print to take away with her. Travelling there won’t be an issue either as there are many fantastic UK locations to choose from.
Go further afield for her this Mother’s Day
Go that extra mile this time around – give her the chance to go on a short country break, an exciting theatre trip, or book up an unforgettable city jaunt. Days out in London are also perfect - you’ll have a chance to take her shopping before treating her to a lavish meal at any of the city’s first-class restaurants. If she’s a little bit more adventurous then why not get her a glamping experience? Some of the same luxuries she might have come to expect, but slap-bang in the middle of the English countryside.
Or why not give the special lady in your life the gift of discovery this year. The UK promises some truly fantastic historical days out. Treat her to some real English Heritage with a trip to any of our storybook castles, historic homes, gardens, or breathtaking abbeys – it’s all there for her.
Spoil her with a luxury spa day
For years, your mum waited on you hand and foot. Now it’s her turn to be pampered. Luxury spa days are ideal gifts for Mother’s Day. Whether she’d like to receive luxury treatments, unwind by the pool or in the steam rooms, or simply relax in a soothing Jacuzzi for the day, the only thing she’ll need to fret over is what to do first. If you’re stuck for ideas, give her the opportunity to sample the luxury of Clarice House, or the chance to leave her stresses behind at a Bannatyne’s spa – she’ll be in seventh heaven.
All steam ahead on the Orient this Mother’s day
Few experiences compare to a trip on the Orient Express. Gift her with a journey on the illustrious British Pullman or the Northern Belle and let her experience the gleaming carriages and intriguing destinations. And what’s more, immaculately dressed stewards will tend to her every need – how fantastic is that? Dine out on lavish cuisine or just take in the sights – the choice really is hers.
Lift her spirits with a thrilling experience
If you have an adventurous mum then you should consider taking her on an exhilarating day out. And what says I love you better than indoor skydiving? Airkix indoor skydiving is a totally unique experience that combines the thrill of skydiving with the safety of doing it in a safely constructed wind tunnel. Watch her face as she experiences the excitement of freefall in an entirely safe environment.
Whatever you choose, just make sure that your mum has the best day this Mother’s day 2012.
This is a sponsored Post- I would like to add all my sponsored posts I choose and would love to be treated to any of these activities, even the indoor skydive ( as long as its indoor)

Callum is 1 years Old!!!
Well at the end of January my little baby boy turned 1 years old!! His first year has just flown by, I remember being told I was induced like it was yesterday!! We took him to see his Great Grandma and Grandad, then my mum and youngest brother came, so he got to get some fantastic present and huge cuddles from his mamma and uncle H!! We then went to a playbarn and met up with our friends who have 2 little girls, 1 just a bit older than Annabelle and a newborn!! Both Annabelle and the Birthday boy had a great time, it was Callum's first time in a playbarn where he was able to explore himself! It was a lovely family day out!! We ended the afternoon by visiting my Dad and Step mum, their Nannie and Grandad! It was a lovely day that at least myself and Phil will remember!!

More Than Just a Holiday
When I was 4 months pregnant with Annabelle my dad and step mum Tina moved to Brittany in France, they had planned to go for years so it wasn't a shock but not fantastic timing. We managed to book the ferry to go in September when Annabelle was 5 months old. I just thought I was going to visit them but this holiday turned out to be more than just a holiday...
Brittany is in Northern France and we were lucky to be staying quite close to the coast. I love seaside holidays, the sea equals holiday to me. My Dad and Tina had only seen Annabelle when she was about a month old so this was a special time, even though it wasn't said you could see by my dads behaviour. The photo below was a precious moment, and we didn't know how precious at the time.
It was an exciting time as Annabelle dipped her little toes in the sea for the first time, she wasn't very impressed but mummy and daddy were excited.
My partner Phil was able to play as all he did and does is work so this holiday was some time out for him. This is my dads house in the background, he is a brilliant gardener just wish he had done mine before he went!!We visited beautiful places and took some fantastic photos such as this photos below.
Love this Photo, family all together for once |
One of the Places on the coast we were shown, you don't get this in the uk |
We loved visiting the sealife centre, adults love it as much as Children, just fantastic watching animals that you don't see everyday |
The reason the trip to Brittany France was more than just a holiday was because it was a moment that perspectives about life changed. My dad and Tina realised that living in France wasn't enough, family is what matters in life. They didn't want to miss out on Annabelle growing up, they wanted to be grandparents, not strangers. Problems from the past were forgotten and we were able to see things in a different light and start again. Going on this holiday was the first time that someone had realised I wasn't myself. My dad who didn't see my everyday noticed I was very anxious and my behaviour wasn't normal, it turned out I was suffering from postnatal anxiety.
Thanks to this wonderful holiday I was able to go to the doctors and get better which helped the relationship between me and Phil and made me a better mum, or made me know I was a great mum. My dad and Tina put their house up for sale and now are living 20 minutes away and are the grandparents they longed to be.
Furthermore we are happier!!
This post is part of the Tots100 and Al Fresco competition
Here is the Al Fresco website, makes you want to go on holiday again!!
